Molten Brie Faux-Cheese with Cranberries
The perfect recipe to impress guests and satisfy your cheese cravings!
Although there are several ingredients, this recipe is very simple to make and almost impossible to mess up! Several variations to this recipe exist since you can easily change the topping with dried tomatoes, caramelized onions and more!
Total time: 20 minutes
For the brie:
- 1 cup white wine
- 3/4 cup nutritional yeast
- 1/2 cup vegetable broth
- 3/4 cup unsweetend soy milk
- 1 tablespoon white miso paste
- 1 clove of garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon tahini
- 1 pinch pepper
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 pinch nutmeg
- 7 tablespoons flour
For the topping:
- 3 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1/8 cup cranberries
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- 1/8 cup walnuts
Put all ingredients (except for the flour) in a pot and cook for about 5 minutes.
Then stir in the flour and wait until it all thickens up. If it's too thin add more flour.
When it's ready, transfer it to a caquelon.
Mix the ingredients for the topping. Then, add it on top of the faux-cheese.
Cook at 350F for about 5-10 minutes.
Serve it with bread, pickles and for the healthier version, with brocolis!
