Beef & Macaroni

A classic so simple & comforting!

Tip for families : Yves’ ground round is sold in family format, which is much cheaper. You can also freeze it to keep it longer.

Ingredients

  • 3 ½ cups whole wheat macaroni (I used whole wheat pasta)

  • 1 Tbsp (15 ml) vegan magarine (eg : Becel’s vegan margarine)

  • 1 package (about 340 g) vegan ground meat (eg : Yves’ ground round)

  • ½ tsp (2.5 ml) steak spice

  • 2 cans of 284 ml (568 ml) tomato soup

  • 4 Tbsp chili sauce (60 ml)

Preparation

  1. Cook the macaroni according to package instructions.

  2. In a large skillet, melt the margarine. Add the meat and break it into pieces with a wooden spatula.

  3. Add steak spices and cook 2-3 minutes.

  4. Add tomato soup and chili sauce. Bring to a boil and simmer for 2 minutes.

  5. Add the pasta and mix well.
