Black Bean Burger
The fastest veggie burger recipe you'll ever make! I also love it because the patties can be cooked on the barbecue.

Servings : 4-6 patties
540 ml (19 oz) black beans (1 can or cooked)
1 small onion
1 clove of garlic
¼ cup (60 ml) ground flaxseed
¼ cup (60 ml) quick-cooking oatmeal (grits)
¼ cup (60 ml) of water
1 Tbsp (15 ml) chili powder
1 tsp (5 ml) cumin
1 tsp (5 ml) canola oil
Salt & pepper
In a food processor, add beans, onion and garlic and mix until semi-smooth. If you don’t have a food processor, roughly crush the beans with a potato masher and finely chop the onion and garlic.
In a medium bowl, combine all other ingredients.
Form patties and cook in a non-stick skillet with a little oil or on a barbecue.
Serve on buns with the condiments of your choice.
